And so, the tale of Homer and Shirley the Duck and Shirley the Person comes to an end. The ducklings have morphed into adulthood seemingly overnight, their once baby-blue plumage now green and... orange? I don't know where Shirley the Duck is. Devoured by her young, no doubt. And they seem to have excluded the final panel in which Homer goes into a Tony Soprano-esque meltdown as the ducklings flutter away. "Luca Brazzi sleeps with the muskies."
